Drugs and alcohol are the most common addictions among famous people and over the years we have seen many of them going to various rehab facilities to deal with these issues. However, some celebs have different kinds of obsessions that might surprise you. Check out some of the weirdest celebrity addictions.
The blonde beauty just loves buffalo wings. “Oh my good I am obsessed with buffalo chicken wings, I am addicted to them … You will have to roll me down the red carpet next time you see me … I can’t stop eating them, I just can’t get enough,” she said. Judging by her looks, Scarlett seems to be able to control her addiction for now. Hopefully it will stay that way.
Online gaming might be considered a leisure time activity for most of the youth, but the young star has taken it to a whole new level. Playing continuously for several hours, Anna admits, Angry Birds takes up almost all of her free time. She admitted: “It’s disgusting how much I play that game,” she has admitted. “It’s not like ‘Oh, what level am I on?’ It’s like ‘Do I need therapy to break myself from playing Angry Birds?’”
Ben Affleck has a little bit of a poker problem. In 2004, he won almost half a million bucks in a tournament! But when he and Garner tied the knot, he switched to online poker. He supposedly spends four nights a week, $20,000 a night, on his addiction.
Becoming famous at an early age can reflect negatively on a person’s education, but that is not the case with Emma Watson. She realizes the importance of school and loves learning. She revealed: “I just love learning. I’m, like, addicted to learning. I just want to know as much as I possibly can. It’s never enough for me. And I’ll never stop. I just really love knowledge. Addicted!”
Apparently, drinking diet coke is better than regular coke. Robert Pattinson is a diet fanatic and claims to have drunk almost 300 cans in a week. In addition to diet coke, the actor claims he is hooked to Cinnamon Toast Crunch and that is pretty much all he eats. He said: “I was just taking out my trash and I had, like, 300 cans of Diet Coke. It was just like, ‘How did that happen?’ I don’t even remember buying them. I also like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. My addictions are pretty much the only things I consume.”
Salma was addicted to breast feeding. Acknowledging her unusual obsession, she said she couldn’t stop breastfeeding her baby, especially when she sees how healthy it is for the baby. “I’m like an alcoholic. It is like, I don’t care if I cry, I don’t care if I am fat, I am just going to do it for one more week, one more month, and then when I see how much good it is doing her and I can’t stop,” she admitted.
It’s evident that Rihanna has a love for artistic things, given her fashion and tattos, but she actually loves ‘regular’ art, too. Her rather expensive addiction began after she bought a painting by Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood. The Barbadian singer said: “I’m not a big spender, but I do like to buy art. My favorite canvas is a Ronnie Wood one. He painted a portrait of Bob Marley and as soon as I saw it I knew I wanted it. It’s very rare that you get a painting of a legend painted by a legend, so I had to get it.”
Previously addicted to online gaming and smoking, Jack Black seems to have traded both for a healthier one: green tea. A heavy drinker of green tea, especially iced ones, Jack developed the habit in 2008 after the birth of his second son.
Jessica Simpson is addicted to nicotine chewing gum, even though she’s never been a smoker. The singer/actress revealed that it gives her the energy of three Red Bulls. “The first time I ever chewed a piece of Nicorette gum one of my close friends’ mother gave it to me. I was chewing it and it was like a party in my mouth. It was like fireworks and ‘Oh my god, I’m talking a million miles per hour and I love this gum and what kind of gum is this? I have to have this gum.’”
Interesting weird addictions! I believe many of us have anything to mention on such a weird list. It was hilarious to find that Robert Pattinson sticks to the diet and eats and drinks trash. Coke no matter if it is diet or not is a big no-no. Have you seen what it does to the calcium in eggs and meat, if you put it into it? It simply dissolves it, so what sort healthy diet there can be a speech about. Salma Hayek has amazed me with her devotion for the kid that breastfeeding ahev even become her addiction. An interesting energetic Jessica Simpson has found, but nicotine even in the chewing gum is not healthy, so she better quits.
I understand Scarlett’s addiction. I am addicted to chicken wings, like crazy! This is the best drug for me. I eat them when I am out, I coo them at home. I do not care I will get fat, but I do exercise hard, so, I stay same weight and enjoy my weird addiction as the article states.
Awe I love Anna Kendrick, though she didn’t played a significant role in “Twilight” she really managed to get into my heart and become one of my favorite young actresses, I like the way she is expressing herself, being addicted to “Angry birds”, yes! Why not telling anyone about it, as this is her essence she is not hiding anything from people and not trying to pretend that she is better than she really is, she just smiles sincerely and keeps playing.
Wow, I am amazed how those actors are being addicted to the things that they were performing in the movies, and how it reflects their personalities in the real life! Like for example Emma Watson is same addicting to learning something new as her character Hermione in the movies about the young magician Harry Potter, I am wondering if she started to love everything about education before or after filing in those movies. Or Ben Affleck, not a long time ago I saw a movie with him and Justin Timberlake in the main roles, and I remember that in that movie he was a gambler as well, so if making a general analysis, I guess the roles that actors are performing on the filming stage are really affecting the people that they really are in life itself, and once they perform those things, they become a part of them.
I have read many stupid things in the media during my entire life, but reading about Salma Hayek being addicted to breast feeding is probably one of the silliest ones, as any woman who has ever feed a child, knows that it is not that pleasant and good as it seems to be because it hurts a lot, especially the first few months.
