Celebrity feuds are nothing new. They have been doing it for ages and, after all, they are just human beings like the rest of us. But, back in the old days, we had to wait for an interview or some sort of statement to see and hear stars slamming each other. These days, thanks to social media, we have immediate access to every aspect of celebrity lives they are willing to share. And they like sharing their rants and brawls. Here are the most interesting celebrity Twitter feuds.
Rihanna vs. Ciara
In 2011 R’n’b singer Ciara publicly dissed Rihanna during a TV appearance on Joan Rivers’ Fashion Police by saying “I ran into Rihanna recently at a party. She wasn’t the nicest.” Riri hit straight back tweeting, “My bad ci, did I 4get to tip u? #howrudeofme”. A brief feud ended with a reconciliation between the two singers after Rihanna apologized.
George Lopez vs. Kirstie Alley
Two years ago George Lopez tweeted jokes about Kirstie Alley’s performance on Dancing with the Stars. Lopez referred to Alley as a little piggy, tweeting that before the show “she went to the market and then she had roast beef.” Alley wasn’t amused. After her fans demanded an apology from Lopez, Alley compared Lopez, a self-professed alcoholic, to a “big bad, drunk woolf” who meets his demise by falling “in a boiling pot of vodka.”
Kanye West vs. Jimmy Kimmel
After Kimmel parodied Kanye’s BBC interview using children, Kanye took to Twitter to vent his rage. He fired several angry tweets at Kimmel. For his part, Kimmel took them in stride. Then, things went beyond Twitter. Kanye called Jimmy and allegedly said “I am the most powerful voice in media. I am Pac … You will never be able to show your face at a 14-year-old’s high school football game and be cool again!” Then, Kimmel went on his show to explain the Kanye feud to the world. Finally, three weeks later, the beef was resolved when Kanye appeared across the desk from Jimmy.
In 2007 Joan Rivers tweeted things like, “Lindsay Lohan said she wouldn’t mind being under oath because she thought Oath was a Norwegian ski instructor.” Lohan defended herself by tweeting, “Joan Rivers and her ‘stargument’ make me believe that she and Michael Lohan are a match made in heaven.”
Don Lemon vs. Jonah Hill
CNN anchor Don Lemon did not like it how Jonah Hill greeted him at a hotel and he shared it with the rest of the world via Twitter. He wrote: “Said hi to @jonahhill in hotel. Think he thought I was bellman. Didn’t know his name till Bellman told me. A lesson to always be kind.” Hill responded: @DonLemonCNN I said hi what do you want me to do move in with you. I was in a hurry. Didn’t realize you were a 12 year old girl. Peace.”
Chief Keef vs. Katy Perry
After Katy Perry tweeted that she had “serious doubt for the world” after hearing Keef’s ‘I Hate Being Sober’, Keef fired back. He tweeted “Dat b**ch Katy Perry can su*k skin off of my d**k,” and “I’ll smack the s*it out her.” Perry tweeted an apology to Keef; Keef apologized to Perry.
Joan Rivers vs. Rihanna
In a candid interview with Oprah, Rihanna confessed that she still has feelings for the widely reviled Brown. Rivers tweeted: “Rihanna confessed to Oprah Winfrey that she still loves Chris Brown. Idiot! Now it’s MY turn to slap her.” The Barbados beauty fired back: @Joan_Rivers wow you really do get slow when you’re old huh?”
Miley Cyrus vs. Sinead O’Connor
Miley Cyrus cited Sinead O’Connor’s ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ video as the inspiration for her ‘Wrecking Ball’ video. But O’Connor just couldn’t resist an opportunity to bash the music industry. After an open letter to the 21-year-old pop singer advising her to not be a “prostitute” for the industry, Miley fired back with a tweet mocking the Irish singer’s mental illness. That resulted in two more letters, several more tweets, and O’Connor threatening legal action. In the end, the feud lost steam and both have publicly buried the hatchet.
Rihanna vs. Amanda Bynes
In May 2013, Amanda tweeted, “No one wants to be your lover so you call everyone and their mother that I almost named my new dog Rihanna.” She followed that one with, “Chris brown beat you because you’re not pretty enough.” That wasn’t the last of the hateful tweets. Another was, “You look so ugly tryin to be white.” Rihanna replied on Twitter with, “Ya see what happens when they cancel Intervention.” When Amanda tweeted, “I’m Not Crazy,” Rihanna retweeted it, obviously with a malicious intent. A few days later, Amanda must have realized that she needed to apologize. She found a picture of her and Rihanna together and tweeted, “This is a mocked up image I found on the Internet that I LOVE! “I love @rihanna! She’s such a beauty!” However, 2013 was a tough year for Amanda, who ended up at psychiatric hold, and we hope she’s on the right path again.
Wow. That’s less a “fight” between Amanda Bynes & Rihanna and more of Amanda Bynes acting like a toddler throwing her shit at Rihanna for no reason. What stupid little moron.
