Winners of Golden Globes 2014

amy-jennifer Golden Globes is the first major awards show of the season and American Hustle, Breaking Bad and Dallas Buyer’s Club won the most awards.

The 71st annual event in Los Angeles was hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. The three-hour ceremony aired on NBC last night, live from the Beverly Hilton.

12 Years a Slave took the top prize of the night. It was named Best Drama and the film’s director, Steve McQueen, seemed surprised by the win. “Little bit in shock,” he said. “I wasn’t expecting it.”

matthewMatthew McConaughey won his first Golden Globe as lead actor in the film for Dallas Buyers Club and Cate Blanchett received the best actress in a drama honor for Blue Jasmine.

American Hustle won three awards, including Best Supporting Actress (Musical or Comedy), which was handed to Jennifer Lawrence and Best Actress for Amy Adams.

In her acceptance speech, Lawrence said: ”I don’t know why it’s so terrifying it’s obviously a good thing. Thank you to my family and my team, thank you so much!”

Leonardo DiCaprio took the trophy for best actor in a musical or comedy film for his role in The Wolf of Wall Street. DiCaprio joked that he never thought he’d win a Golden Globe for a comedy and he thanked Martin Scorsese for his mentorship.

    Happy to find out that really remarkable actors win the Golden Globe 2014. I am happy the choice was made right. I am happy to see the actors that I wanted to see wining this award. Jenny is the most promising actress in Hollywood this days and she has reached so much success and have received so many award. I am honestly amazed, but very glad for this young talented and funny actress. Keep it up, girl!
