The biggest problem in high school is to ask a girl out on a date. It has always been and it still is, no matter what. So, after a new student, Cameron (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) finally gets his courage to ask one of the cutest girls in his school, Bianca Stratford (Larisa Oleynik), he gets a pretty unusual answer. It's both yes and no. How come? Well, Bianca is the youngest kid in the Stratford family and her dad has only one condition: she'll go on a date as soon as her older sister does. And her older sister is none other than Kat Stratford (Julia Stiles). She's been called every name in the book and she still isn't interested in backing down or lowering her standards. So it seems like a dead game. But, Cameron has a plan- he is to pay Patrick Verona (Heath Ledger), the guy who has the worst reputation in the school but always does something for cash, to date Kat, so he could take Bianca out. And from that point on, there is a lot of funny situations going on, especially when Patrick tries to win Kat over, which never goes that easy. And the only thing you can do is laugh.
