Ethan takes his boy out of the crate, places him into the truck and drives off to a mountain side to show him how beautiful nature is. As the boy is asleep, Ethan leaves truck warm and running and just goes off for a few minutes. When he comes back, boy is nowhere to be found. He shouts and tries to find him, but nothing. Soon after that, the whole town gets alerted and they all search for three year old kid. Of course, his alcoholic mom, Cindy (Lynn Collins), is screaming at Ethan. After the search for Nate, which lasted a whole night, Ethan finds the boy frozen in the snow and is completely crushed. As it goes, he is arrested and accused of murder by negligence. Throughout the whole trial process, the town forms two sides, with lots of friends, members of families and lovers taking the opposite sides. Is he really guilty, like a mass murderer, or was it just a moment of distraction, which led to tragic circumstances? All in all, as the District Attorney (Jeremy Piven) arrives, the whole town has to reveal secrets they have.
