“Anna’s Struggle” is a touching drama directed by Bladimir Abud. Anna is a loving and caring mother. She has a young son whom she adores and cares for. But something goes wrong and her beloved child is murdered on the streets. From this moment we see considerable changes in our main character: from a shy and obedient flower seller she turns into a vindictive and furious mother, who’s just lost her only child and seeks for revenge. Moreover, she seeks for justice because her son didn’t deserve to die so young and in such a terrible way. The main idea of the movie is obvious right from the movie’s title – “Anna’s struggle”. Throughout the whole movie we see a desperate struggle for justice, truth, and compassion. We all know that life in Hispanic world is not that easy, and it doesn’t even take any effort to get into trouble. Anna’s son was a good young boy, but was misfortunate to be in a wrong place at a really bad time. He shouldn’t have cross over a road of some really dangerous people. Imagine all the pain and despair a mother feels, when her son is murdered. “Anna’s struggle” is a very mature movie in terms of exploration of touching social drama.
