It is a very qualitative movie- there are amazing landscapes in it, and each picture in it is designed to look like it has its own sense. By the visual picture of the movie i will never get bored, and the opposite i can say that i felt very pleasant after watching it. And the music in it was great! The new adventures of the good friends cannot be called heroic ones, if not one thing that made me follow the personality of the main hero! His name is Blackthorn. Or if being more precisely Butch Cassidy. So now i am sure it is more interesting. And i am sure i am not the only person who is interested to know how the hell he survived and what has happened to Sundance Kid. There are a few subject lines in the movie, and the image of the Cassidy who got old is very interesting as well. It looks like there is an old guy in front of us, who is filled with controversial dreams and bright memories from the past. Sam Shepard is exactly the actor who was able to show the worries and aims of his hero! It is a must watch movie!

I probably got really old, as i am not able to understand this movie at all. And i didn’t even plan on watching this wester, but i decided to see Dominique McElligott in different type of movie. So what do we have here! Somehow Butch has managed to stay alive, of course he got old, and he decided to come back home, well ok, that is easy and logic. He is wearing poncho and smokes weird cigarettes.
But good old times didn’t leave him alone, and it is essential, he spent too many days of his life being a bad guy so now it is not that easy to suddenly become a good one. The subject line is twisted around an accident meeting in the desert, though there are no accidents, everything that happens, happens for a reason. And that is how everything has started from the beginning! In some moments the hero is being nostalgic as he remembers of the good old times when he had a lot of fun and different life, and now he is sick of the weak person that he has become. For me it was too boring to watch this movie.

I like western movies very much, because they show the splendid nature that cannot be confused with anything: due to its forests, mountains, and rivers. I was confused by the prehistory. Butch Cassidy survived ( though a lot of people who watched the original version of the 1969 would be very angry about it as it is impossible to get out of such a trouble, and only some comics super hero created by Marvel studios could ever do it)!
And maybe there would be people who would consider its subject not new at all, i should say that it was shown in a very logical and interesting way! And Sam Shepard was created for the role of Butch Cassidy. Unfortunately there is nothing in my mind i can compare this movie with. Because all of the western movies released in the past ten years are different. I am pretty sure that the admirers of the western genre should not stay away from this movie, as it has everything needed for keeping the attention!
