It is the 18th century in Romania. Everything strange is considered to come from a witch or a demon. Sometimes there is a reason, like with Rayne (Kristanna Loken). She is the focus of the circus show and the main attraction. Why? Because she is half-human, half-vampire. After some time in there, when she was held captive in chains, she somehow manages to escape and along the way, she meets a fortune-teller. With looking into her past, the fortune teller reveals her origin to her, saying that a king of the vampires, Kagan (Ben Kingsley), has raped her mother long time ago. So, that is the moment when she decides to kill him and get her revenge. On her way to killing Kagan, Rayne meets Vladimir and Sebastian (Michael Madsen and Matthew Davis), who are also looking for their chance to kill some vampires and destroy the whole coven. Two of them are leaders of the fortress called Brimstone, where vampire hunters gather. As they accept her and train her for a face to face combat, the human side of Rayne leads her to falling in love with Sebastian. The only question is, how far will she be able to go in order to kill her father and the leader of the whole vampire coven?
