What is the movie Center Stage: Turn It Up about?
When it comes to movies that tell the story about a dancer's life, there is nothing better to watch. When you have the chance to see how a dancer that is one of the most prestigious today became what he/she is, there is a special kind of thrill about that. The plot revolves around Kate Parker (Rachele Brooke Smith), who is a young and passionate, self-taught ballet dancer. Her mother was also a ballet dancer, but had died what Kate was still young. Her dad isn't that supportive and her little sister simply adores her more than anything. So, Kate decides to take a chance and give it a try at the audition for one of the most prestigious ballet schools in New York. After giving her best, she fails and is completely unable to face her family like that. So, she find a place to stay and lies about getting in. While hanging out and working in a club, she gets spotted by one of the guys that was also at the audition, but got in. Two of them hook up and the love story starts. Throughout the movie, we get to see Kate practising for the next audition. During one catering job, she sees her boyfriend with another ballet girl and gets mad. At one point in the club, she gets spotted by one of the hot teachers from the academy and tries to make her boyfriend jealous. That leads her to having a pretty short affair with her teacher but doesn't go on with that. In the end, she is forced to confess to her family everything and the most unexpected thing happens.
