Based and inspired by an outstanding novel Wings of Desire, here comes a movie adaptation by Richard Reitinger, Peter Handke and Wim Wenders. This movie was directed by Brad Silberling. The story begins with Seth (Nicolas Cage), the angel who is assigned of taking care of the souls of the dead. He is to take these souls to the ever after, once the persons die. At one point, while waiting on a patient that is on the operational table to die, he encounters a very strange doctor- Dr. Maggie Rice (Meg Ryan). She is at the top of her class when it comes to heart surgery and is a brilliant doctor. She is one of the most dedicated and professional doctors ever. There, in the operational room, their eyes suddenly meet. But, since Seth is an angel, he can not be seen.. unless he wants it to. As Seth gets to meet one of Maggie's patients, Nathaniel Messinger, he discovers that they have a choice to fall and live a human life if they wish to. And as he starts spending more and more time with Maggie, he is about to make a decision and is hoping for a nice life, and to experience it like the humans do and feel loved.
