Greek mythology is fascinating and full with many bizarre mythical creatures. It contains many different kinds of people, gods, abominations, strange guardians of unknown and forgotten. This makes it very interesting for filmmakers. With all CGI that is available today, directors can take old proven stories and redo movies with great success. This is case with movie Clash of Titans. Original screenplay was written back in 1981 by Beverly Cross. Travis Beacham, Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi change the original screenplay to make suitable for modern techniques of filming. With all this epic fighting explained in the mythology movies about this subject promise by default thrill and amazing scenes of violence. Louis Leterrier directed the movie with great success. He managed to bring audience to the battles and to reveal vulnerability of the gods. Movie focuses on Perseus who is mortal son of Zeus. He battles the creatures from the underworld to save heaven and Earth. Gods themselves play dirty and they show their worst with no second taught. Selfishness is what brings them together because of the desire to survive. It is also their weak spot that can turn them against each other. During his quest to save the world, Perseus has conflict with his father, the mighty Zeus. He has desire to battle as a mortal man but he much more than mortal. He is son of the commanding God. Clash of Titans is full with strange looking creatures and fast pace fighting scenes. It is action fantasy that will keep you on edge of your seat.
