Teenage movies about rich spoiled kids are always a blast and something you can laugh at at all the times. This teenage comedy is focused on Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone), one of the most popular girls in Beverly Hills high school. At the beginning, she seems to be really superficial and like every other rich daddy's girl, but underneath it all there is more than meets the eye. She is pretty good in getting what she wants, because of her greatly developed manipulative skills. She may be a little superficial, but she certainly isn't dumb. Here we get a nice twist that was borrowed from the Jane Austen's `Emma'. Cher is really good in matching couples, like some kind of modern Cupid, but it only works on others. She herself doesn't seem to be having the same luck when it comes to finding the right date. Now, she must somehow survive her teenage years, as well as the high school, where all the kids are going through the same things, but each one has its own version of it. Alicia Silverstone really gives a certain flavour to this role and makes it just pop and come to life. With Amy Heckerling being a writer and director of this piece, it is almost guaranteed to provide you with a good time.
