Whenever you see Bruce Willis in the casting list, there is a big treat waiting on you with that movie. He usually stares some bad ass guy who is an undercover agent, cop, someone from the army or something like that. Roles like that fit him like a glove. This time, he does get one of those roles, but for a change, it is in a comedy piece. And guess what? He is like made for comedies as well. It all starts as Jimmy Monroe (Bruce Willis) decides to sell one of his most valuable baseball cards in order to raise more money for his daughter's wedding. Both him and his partner from the police force, Paul Hodges (Tracy Morgan) are suspended by their boss, Captain Romans, for the way they lead an investigation and do their jobs. They certainly are pretty unconventional. Two of them are friends. On the other hands is Paul, who is all jealous and freaked out, because he is always tripping that his wife is cheating on him with the next door neighbour. So, there is a moment when Jimmy actually sells the card to a memorabilia store and finds out that it has been robbed, two of them decide to release their anger and frustration by chasing and taking down the guys who were responsible for the robbery.
