From the play written long ago by William Shakespeare himself, comes a breathtaking movie adaptation of the work Coriolanus, done by the same guy, who wrote screenplay for The Last Samurai and Gladiator- John Logan. Ralph Fiennes was the director of this mind blowing piece and he deserved every congratulation for it. The movie is a modern adaptation of the basic story that takes place in ancient Rome. The story follows two main characters. One of them is a distinguished military officer, Coriolanus (Ralph Fiennes), who is using his position and military force to fight against the people, who are raising up against the government and Senate. At first, he is declared as a national hero and he was given medal, honoured with highest ranks, only to be banished from the city very soon by the same Senate he protected. When he found himself in an unknown territory and face to face with his sworn enemy, Tullus Aufidius (Gerard Butler), he joined forces and marched together with him back to the city he was banished from. Their goal was to take the city and capture it. As his rage goes on, Tullus has some benefit of him. But when the moment comes, that Coriolanus' wife, mother and son beg him to come home peacefully and make peace with the rest of the citizens, and Coriolanus agrees, he gets killed by Tullus. Performance given by the whole acting crew was amazing and it took amazing crew to make this work. And with this adaptation, Ralph Fiennes has proven himself as a man behind the camera.
