What happens when an ordinary blonde guy comes to a small Texas town? Everyone would like to know a bit about him, who he is, where he's from and the most important- why is he here at all? Wouldn't you? His name is Sam Doonby. Simple and plain. In a 104 minute long mystery thriller directed by Peter Mackenzie and released in November 2013, a part of Sams life gets on the screen. Main character, Sem Doonby, played by John Schneider, is a simple guy, who visits a small Texas town, and in which he decides to stay for a while. He's an unsuccessful writer and is in the search for a job. He tries to pass his motto to the people, and help them by revealing a robbery in a store, rescuing a baby in front of the truck and all sorts of things. But as the questions about his past keep on coming from every corner, even from the town sheriff, he gets panicky and nervous. Who actually is Sem Doonby? No one seems to known to answer that question, because he's already gone. With his perfect acting talent, John Schneider simply sinks into this role and brings the character to life with all of his fears. Along his side there are many great actors as Ernie Hudson, Jenn Gotzon, Robert Davi, Jennifer O'Neill and lots of others.
