I don't understand the ending. They failed. The nuclear bomb will explode. Dr. Stragelove just make a suggestion at last that some proper people live underground? I don't really understand how people like this story. tell me?

I think this movie has shown how thin is the border line between reality and madness, i think Stanley Cubrik, has kept us on the bottom of this border in a very genius way!For me it was funny and scary watching the movie, as it was hard to understand who were those people on the screen crazy psychos or geniuses. Whether this war machine will protect or kill us. It is hard for me to overreact with my thrill for this movie. The actors did great! And the interesting thing is that this movie is quite actual even today, and i can only guess how other people are thinking or feeling about it.

The main purpose of this very complex movie was to show that the war is a too serious thing in order to trust it to anyone. And it is very difficult to realize who deserves to order. The army? Or the politicians? Or the generals? By each new scene of this movie i was getting that the movie producer has tried to show that war is a crazy thing.
And of course all the assets- the talent of the movie producer, the operator, the decorations, music- everything was aimed to create the feeling of how crazy the war really is. We are laughing in the funny moments when generals and politicians are giving orders to each other and it looks crazy, but at the same time there is a thought in the mind that cannot leave you indifferent towards the situation, the bothering question “What if all of those things can really happen”? And that is the moment when we realize that we are in charge for choosing people who later would make the choice for us! This movie has a very deep meaning and once getting into it, it is impossible to stay cool about things going on around.

It is a wonderful movie. I think it is the best fun movie based on the war theme ever! the actors, especially Peter Sellers, are simply amazing! This movie made me smile, and at the same time it made me seriously think, about the fact that nuclear weapons are usually controlled by a very few people in the world, and only God knows what is there in their mind and what they are capable to do with it. And it is quite possible that some crazy person as general would decide to drop a bomb only because of his personal wishes and beliefs. I am very negative about the chasing of nuclear weapons that is being done now in the world. it is terrifying this fact! And as a result the country that has more weapons is considered more powerful and considers that has the right to dictate to other poor countries that cannot defend themselves what and how they should do, i think it is not fair, at all. And i think there should not be movies like this one, as they might give crazy and bad ideas to people who suffer from mental disorder.
