A driver, who has no name in the movie, (acted by Ryan Gosling) rents a low-price apartment and works as a mechanic and a wheelman. His ability to drive is incredible and his high level of precision becomes evident when he helps two burglars escape from police and splits up in the parking garage. The Driver never works for the same person two times and he always remains anonymous. Shannon (played by Bryan Cranston) is the owner of the garage where the Driver works and gets new clients for other jobs. Very soon Shannon borrows a great sum of money from a mobster, known as Bernie Ross (performed by Albert Brooks) to buy the Driver a race car for fulfilling the heists. One day the Driver agrees to help in another ‘dirty’ affair that seems a routine job at first sight and turns into a pure hell when the heist goes wrong. Things get even more complicated when driver’s neighbor Irene (Carey Mulligan), whom he is attracted to and her young son Benicio (acted by Kaden Leos) are involved in the mafia conflict. Now the driver must think of their safety as well as solving the problem…
