One of the most beloved, as well as most commercially successful Disney features, “Finding Nemo” was written by Andrew Stanton and released in 2003. It tells the tale of Nemo, a young clownfish who gets estranged from his family. Nemo is the only son of overprotective parents who suffered a barracuda attack, leaving Nemo as their only child. Because of the attack, Nemo has developed a small fin and is unable to swim perfectly, which makes his father stress at all times. After his father embarrasses him, Nemo gets separated from the rest of the gang and is captured by scuba divers. This sets off an epic sea world chase involving Nemo’s father Marlin and a regal blue tang named Dory who suffers from a short term memory loss. Nemo is taken by one of the divers and placed into a fish tank with a whole bunch of illustrious inhabitants, who warn him that his owner plans to give him to his niece who has a reputation of killing her pet fish. The gang plots an escape plan, while Marlin and Dory are stumbling from one adventure into the next, but steadily getting closer to finding him. When the original escape plan fails, Nemo makes a desperate attempt to escape by playing dead. Just at this moment Marlin finds him and believes his son to be gone. Heartbroken, he sets off on a long way back home. Nemo manages to escape and meets Dory, who has lost her memory again, but eventually manages to put the dots together and realize who Nemo is. She takes Nemo to Marlin, but then gets caught in a net. Nemo bravely jumps in and manages to guide all the trapped fish to safety. Eventually they all make it safely back home.
