After the first part of the Garfield story was a big success, the director Tim Hill had decided to make a sequel. Again, writers Alec Sokolow and Joel Cohen took one of the most beloved comic book characters, Garfield, based on Jim Davis' work, and put him in another adventure. It starts off with Jon waiting Liz to come at his place and propose her. He sets up the most romantic dinner ever and Garfield is certainly no fan of that. But, instead of a romantic evening, Liz gets notified that she has to pack her bags and leave for London instantly, due to some very important conference there. But, Jon decides to surprise her and goes to London secretly. And what a surprise it is when Liz sees him in London... and Garfield.. and Odie as well. As they decide to see the city, Garfield gets mixed up with another cat- Prince, the cat who had inherited a whole big real estate and everything there is. So, as Prince gets taken for a lasagne, Garfield enjoys in his riches. Soon after making himself comfortable in the big castle with lots of servants that await on his command, Garfield sees that the luxurious life comes with a price. There is an enemy that he must defeat in order to get back to his normal life.
