Here is the worlds most favourite fat cat of all the times- Garfield. After Jim Davis made a comic book about a cat that hates Mondays, is the most laziest character ever, is never hyperactive and just loves eating lasagne, the world has found their pet. So, the Hollywood filmmakers decided to make a movie about him. The screenplay was written by Alec Sokolow and Joel Cohen and the movie was directed by Peter Hewitt. The main character is, of course, Garfield (voiced by Bill Murray). He is the first, and according to him the only pet of young man called Jon Arbuckle (Breckin Meyer), especially when Jon decides to buy another pet. And that pet is none other than a dog, which gets called Odie. Why the hell did Jon get another pet, and a dog? Because he had met his high school crush, now very successful veterinarian called Liz (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and he wants to impress her. So, Garfield gets some competition. He can't wait to get rid of him. But, at one point, Odie gets kidnapped and Garfield then finds himself pretty worried and in unusual position. So, he decides to go out and find Odie, rescue him and bring him home. And that is one hell of adventure for a pretty lazy cat. With all his laziness, Garfield manages to activate a few old friends and call a few favours in order to find Odie.
