First best voice for narration after Morgan Freemans could belong to Tim Curry. This guy is one of a kind. He has credits for participating in more than two hundred movies. With an impressive experience he has no problem giving voice and twisted personality to an aberration that thinks it is clown. Movie Gingerclown is rare opportunity to see movie written and directed by Hungarian creator. Balász Lloyd decided to try himself as director. Result is movie that splits opinions. His brain child Gingerclown is both comedy and horror. Story is placed in distant 1983. We have much of high school kids breaking in to abandoned amusement park. It is like “I dare you” game. Park looks scary like any colossal abandoned structure. When kids get inside they have fun until funny things begin to happen. Entire park is haunted by evil entities. Tim Curry stars as a Gingerclown. He speaks his lines in a way that brings you closer to the action. Movie is filmed in 3D which in combination of theme from 1983 brings you even closer. Movie is little bit specific. There is no point in complaining about affects, choice of actors. It is the way Lloyd imagined it and you can take it as it is. Brightest piece of the movie is The Clown. “When darkness walls and you have the ba**s stepping in to realms...” That was entering line. There is more of it from where that came from . “This is not fu**ing Buckingame Palace.” “Just like my momma sad, quack, quack, quacker has to die mother***ker.” Lines like that spoken by Tim Curry with his laughter are good enough reason to see the Gingerclown.
