God Help the Girl is a movie set in Glasgow, Scotland and it revolves around a girl called Eve who is in a hospital due to emotional problems. She starts to write songs in order to cope with her problems and eventually get better. Songwriting is the thing which keeps her going and it helps her move to the City where she meets two musicians James and Cassie. Those two aspiring musicians are at the crossroads on their own and this trio will have to work their problems out during the course of a long summer. This movie is a musical, those who enjoy music in the movies will definitely have a blast while watching this one. Emily Browning does an excellent job in portraying Eve, she hits everything head on and does a wonderful job at acting. All of the actors are young and they managed to do an excellent job in portraying their roles, they are not overacting and everything they say and do seems so natural, it is like they are playing themselves instead of imaginary characters. Those who like their English language with accents will enjoy this movie, because the characters have amazing voices and they tend to show them off. Everyone who is a fan of musicals and stories about young people finding their way in life will thoroughly enjoy God Help the Girl.
