From director Tara Miele we have screening of Brian Dicks story. Gone Missing story about two eighteen year old girls and their mothers spending time during the spring break. On top of that it is directed by a woman. It is drama about an adventure spiced with crime. Story is more common and easy to believe in. With characters that are opposite to each other and vacation during spring break, many things could go wrong. Two teenage girls just want to have fun. They travel with their mothers to a resort that will turn to be revealing for all of them. Conflicts and magic of the movie lies in two opposite character that together make one whole complete person that audience can relate to. One girl is raised by overly protective mother. She grows up under a glass bell. Other mother is irresponsible and lets her sweetheart do whatever pleases her. When this two girls start searching for fun all troubles are going to get loose. Girls start making terrible choices. The hang out with bad boys and suddenly enjoyable drinking becomes a really unpleasant experience. While girls are gone missing their mothers join forces, and try to find daughters. Many things that mothers do are simply not possible in real world. Still it doesn’t effect the main ideas and messages that are embedded in movie. In series of flashbacks mothers realize that they don’t know their girls. They will discover that their extreme ways of raising missing girls probably led to unwanted trouble. Someone said “I recommend this one to Drama fans with Mommy issues”.
