The premise of Haunt has been done so many times that it anyone could guess it just by seeing the name of the movie. Mother and a father move in to a new home with their three teen-age children. Of course, the house was a scene of a horrible personal tragedy and it is obvious that this set-up had been done plenty of times. The son meets a girl who is his neighbor and together they explore the attic only to find an old radio in it. They figure out that the radio can be used to communicate with the dead. Little do they know that they have managed to unleash something sinister which will bring a new horror. The premise is simple, but effective, everyone who enjoys ghost stories knows that they are all similar, but every one of them brings something new to the table, and so does this movie. Cinematography is amazing, all of the shots look stunning especially the ones done in the snow. Radio found in the attic is something new to the genre and is pretty interesting and creepy. Haunt is definitely an average movie, but anyone who enjoys a ghost horror story fill find something interesting in it. Horror buffs should give it a go with an open mind, and those who are not fans of horror will probably find something else.
