After spending some years together in the same high school, Troy and Gabriella (Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens) are finding themselves at the end of the high school. As that moment is coming closer and closer, both of them are anxious about getting separated by their colleges. While Troy is more interested in going to a college near by in Albuquerque, Gabriella is more interested in going to Stanford University in California. On the other hand, there is still the schools queen drama, the spoiled rich girl Sharpay is having dreams of her own. Her idea is to leave the high school with the big bang, as she plans the schools final musical show and adding some hopes and dreams to the whole story, as they are to sing about everything they are afraid of, as well as about everything they hope for. As soon as she finds out that there is a new exchange student from Britain, she makes sure to have everything under her control. Along with Troy's and Gabriella's friends Chad and Taylor, they all are yet to come to terms with the real world that they are going to explore as soon as they are done with the high school.
