Andrew Meieran wrote the story with Christopher Keyser and directed and produced movie based on that. It is safe to say that Andrew owns film Highland Park. Story is placed in part of Detroit, where people live only because they can’t go to some other place. Situation in this place is worse than bad. Corrupt politicians managed to steel twenty millions from budget of place that has hundred thousand people. That adds up on the count of common bad things that residents used to. In this place there are still people who have faith and vision. They have desire but their hands are tied because they need money to survive, and there is no chance found some good will project. Do people believe that they could win on lotto? They probably do, but they don’t expect it to happen this week. Six friends form Highland Park play same numbers since 90’. And one evening they got lucky. They got lucky as much as they can. Their numbers are picked up. What are they going to do? Should they split the money and take off to some sunny happy place? How are they going to interact with families and loved ones? How are they going to spend the money? These questions are keeping audience glued to the seats as they wait for the answers. This six individuals are going to do hard thing. They will try to do what they wished someone else to do for them. On this quest they will inspire some neighbours and face many difficulties. Is their work going to be wasted is left to be seen at the end.
