When one gets from zero to a start in short period of time, it can start being a little slippery. Once a small town guy Cory Brand had made it out in the big world, he started acting out like any other Hollywood star. Then he developed a serious drinking problem that he couldn't control, which caused him to have a car crash when driving after drinking alcohol. As a part of the punishment, he got to do his rehab hours in his home town. Now, coming back to the small place where he was born, he has to confront everything at once. At first he gets rejected by most of the people in there, but as he gets better, so does his relationship with them. Very soon he starts coaching a Little League team and helping out the kids. It is all about believing in oneself and in God. This rehab wasn't only his sobering journey, but his spiritual one as well, because Cory didn't only find his way back home, but himself as well. Performances of both Scott Elrod and Dorian Brown, who got the roles of main characters, were amazing and very believable. So if you find yourself in the mood for a sport drama, this 113 minute long movie directed by David Boyd will keep your attention.
