Movie Hustle and Flow is one of the rare ones, which show the real life in poverty and ghetto. The idea for the whole plot comes from the mind of an amazing writer Craig Brewer, who was also the director in this case. So, he made sure to get his vision come true just the way he had it in his mind. It revolves around a pretty poor African-American man called Djay (Terrence Howard), who lives in one of the ghettos in Memphis. He lives with a whole bunch of prostitutes and he is their pimp. As lucrative as that business sounds, it still doesn't bring enough money for him to feel like he's on the could nine, or Donald Trump. So, in his mid-age crisis he somehow manages to get a crew on his side to help his record one of the hip-hop hits, with a hope that it will make him pretty famous and that he will make a lot of money. One of the men in that crew is his old classmate, Key (Anthony Anderson), who is a record producer. He doesn't have much, but it's sure enough to give Djay a chance to get through in the big world. And in all that chaos there is also Shug (Taraji P. Henson), Djay's pregnant woman, who is having the chance to see him do the right thing for once in their lives. The movie is a bit heartbreaking when you realize that it's partially true and that things like these happen everyday.
