This is actually a well-made movie, but I suspect it will pass largely unnoticed.

My impression about the movie is pretty good, i liked it, the atmosphere of that time is well shown, and is exactly how i imagined it. There is a intrigue, complicated relationships and marriages with relatives (they were quite popular in those times). And of course there is a real passion that is killing everything on its way. It is a very tensed psychological movie, i would even say a heavy one, because it was hard for me to feel it. Theresa and the man she had affair with are killing her husband, but even after they liquidated the “obstacle” to their happiness, there is no happiness in their life. But it was not meant for them to be a cold blooded killers, well they did killed him, but the worse things have happened after it. They started hallucinating and seeing him everywhere. And it caused their panics. Mmm this movie has left me with a stone on my soul, that is how it feels after watching it. It was creepy watching it, and hopefully it will teach people that they should “pay” for the mistakes they are making.

This movie is about the events in France in the nineteenth century, Theresa has become an orphan and that is why her aunt became her tutor, her aunt a very severe woman who was stuck on her son. Camille who was overloved by his mom, was a always sick and not very handsome young man. The mother is a tyrant, but i could understand her in some moments because she was simply taking care of her baby. Some time later children grow up, and it is taken the decision that they will get married. After the wedding the entire family moves to Paris, where Theresa sees a different life, and different people. And she understands that near her brother-husband she feels dead. And here appears a new friend of her husband.
So eventually appears passion, which is limited by husband and his mom. Those were hard times- and the way those two in love people will deal with their problems, and how will end up their wish to be happy, we will get the chance to see later. I liked the movie, the characters were very colorful, that is why i recommend it to people who love this genre!

When i was fifteen years old, i found the book on which was based this movie and read it in two days, because i just could not stop, the pot was too captivating in order to stop reading it! In this book there were three heroes: him, her and her lover. It is a classic story, the lover is killing the husband, but happiness doesn’t come into their house, but only fear and gross. As the author is describing the condition of the heroes, their fears that you can feel with your own skin! I loved the book and read it a few times later, but the book has left me with a very hard feeling, but still no matter what i think it deserves being read. Due to it, it was much easier for me to get the scenario of the movie, and of course for me it was very interesting to compare the images of the heroes that i created in my mind with the ones that i have seen in the movie! I can say that i was not disappointed with the movie, and i felt happy after watching it! I can recommend it to everyone, as it really is a great one, that deserves being seen!
