Movie The Resident follows a moment in life of Dr. Juliet Bliss Devereau (Hilary Swank). She works in a Brooklyn General Hospital. After a really hard break up, she had decided to live alone and has found an apartment. She finds an add for the apartment that is in some old building but doesn't cost much and goes to take a look. There, she meets Max (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), who is the owner and who is currently remodelling the place. She agrees to the rent and moves in. Soon after, two of them get closer and one night, she gets attracted to him and kisses him. But upon that kiss, she realizes it is too soon for her to get involved with someone else, and asks him if they could just stay friends. What she doesn't know is that she will be stalked for quite some time after that and that she was stalked a long time before she came to look for an apartment. With Max's obsession over her, she gets drugged every night by him and gets used by him as well. As one of her friends installs high security system and sets up the recording cameras, she finally gets to the bottom of it all. The plot is amazing and with talented actors like these, the movie can only be a success, nothing less than that.
