The story about the Iron Man begins as we get to see Robert Downey Jr. in the main role of Tony Stark. He plays a rich and very smart guy, who is into engineering. The goal of his company is to make new and useful weapons for the military purposes, but after a demonstration of new weapon in Afghanistan, he gets kidnapped and forced to make some of those for the enemies. During this kidnapping he gets wounded and a piece of shrapnel ends up in his chest, close to his heart, so he makes a small magnet to keep the shrapnel in place. After that, during his imprisonment, he makes a robotic suit out of steal and manages to get away. From that point on, he gets a new idea, so he spends his time making suits that will only protect and not be used against him or his country. After getting some good results, Tony gets a chance to try the first suit of that kind in a real combat action, and fight against his ex kidnapper. As one of the best actors, Robert Downey Jr does an amazing job in portraying the character of Tony stark, who is accustomed in living a luxurious life, but knows how to appreciate it all as well. His secretary and later his girlfriend, Pepper Potts is played by lovely Gwyneth Paltrow. They are the perfect combination in this movie and they sink into their roles amazingly.
