It is amazing how popular Lawrence of Arabia still is, after so many years. It is a 1962 movie directed by David Lean. We can say thanks to T. E. Lawrence and Robert Bolt for the screenplay. They did a great job and let's not forget about Peter O'Toole for the role of his life. There is also Alec Guiness as Prince Feisal, Anthony Quinn as Auda Abu Tayi, Jack Hawkins as General Allenby, and others.
Welcome to the Arabian desert, when you have an opportunity to meet Thomas Edward Lawrence. Everyone thought many different things of him. Some called him a charlatan, sadist, hero, ordinary man... And the truth is that he is all that, and that is one of the things that make him more than fun to watch.
In the beginning of the movie, we see him dying at the age of 46, and during the movie, we follow his adventures in Cairo. He has a task to investigate the progress of the revolt of the Arabians against the Turks in World War I.
After organizing the guerrilla army, he becomes their leader and he is in charge of many raids in the desert in order to make sure that there is peace in the desert.
Lawrence of Arabia is also about destroying the Ottoman Empire and the way Lawrence is ready to do this is by helping the British general in order to destroy their power.
