Lawyers are known to make schemes when they enter the courtroom, because their paycheck depends on how many cased they have successfully finished. So, they sometimes have to twist the truth a bit, which means, they have to pull everything out of the context and give it another meaning, which is basically lying. Fletcher Reede (Jim Carrey) is one of those lawyers. Since he is always working and constantly between his house and his work, his son doesn't get enough of his attention. That is all to change after Fletcher doesn't make it to his son's birthday and young Max makes a wish that his dad can't tell a lie for a whole day. So, as the morning starts, his wish comes true and Fletcher gets outbursts of telling the truth. From getting to work, over to farting in elevator and then confessing that, over to giving honest opinion and answers whenever he is asked to say something. That puts him into a pretty rough situation each time. Will that make his career as a lawyer over until the end of the day? Watch and see all the comical situations he finds himself in as well as how he gets out of them.
