There is no man who can write a better drama than life can. When someone takes a story from real life and manages to screen it, the audience gets a nice treat. Tandem Eshom Nelms and Ian Nelms wrote and directed movie “Lost on Purpose”. They used pride as very strong driving force. They also managed to provoke that same feeling in the leading character. That brings audience closer to the action. Drama takes place in San Joaquin Valley where the land is more than fertile. In this valley Elizabeth James known as Ms. Liz (Jane Kaczmarek) has a dairy farm that works out of the leading co-ops. She is third generation on that farm and she has no intention to abandon it. In order to keep things going Ms. Liz hires five shady guys to give her hand. Irresponsible, booze loving and reckless, these guys are a magnet for trouble. When Liz makes her farm be profitable for three years in a row that alarms some influential people. Driven with desire for money and blinded by profit, powerful co-op Delbert Ferguson (C. Thomas Howell) starts pressing Ms. Liz to sell him the farm. This makes Liz angry and fuels her pride a lot. “Lost on Purpose” is many times heard real life story told in an interesting way. It gives critic of modern day capitalism and presents battle between tradition that built countries and system that went out of any control.
