Love & Distrust is the brainchild of the writer Stewart Klein and it was directed by Darcy Yuille,Diana Valentine, Warner Loughlin, Eric Kmetz, Daisy Gili, and Lorraine Bracco. The whole movie is sectioned in five segments, with each of them telling some other story. What they all have in common is love and passion that are going on in them. One of them is called The Summer House and it deals with a guy Richard (Robert Pattinson) who left his long time girlfriend, Jane (Talulah Riley) for some other girl and now realizes he made a mistake and wants back. Blue Poles tells the story about a truck ride through Australia to Canberra, where the driver is Miles (Sam Worthington) and who picks up a hitchhiker girl Sylvia (Emma Randall) a ride. With his mind set on seeing the painting called "Blue Poles", he doesn't even care if the girl is there or not. Story called Grasshopper shows how character played by James Franco, Travis, gets into trouble after a cute goth girl Terri (Rachel Miner,) takes his phone and starts a blackmail. The next one is called Pennies and shows the life of girl who is played by Amy Adams, Charlotte Brown, who works as a waitress just to ensure her daughter's future. And the last story is called Auto Motives and it deals with cars and seduction. Character played by Michael Imperioli, a stud, tries his best to catch some girls with his new fancy car parked on the Washington street.
