Love Field is a unique movie that deals with a lonely housewife who meets an African American man and his daughter on a bus. The story is placed in Dallas, in the time when the President Kennedy is shot. One of the main characters is a housewife called Lurene Hallett (Michelle Pfeiffer). She always looks up to Jacqueline Kennedy, in both looks and doings. And when the President and his wife come to Dallas, she is thrilled to be able to get so close to them and see them in person. But, a few hours after their arrival, the President is shot. Everyone is devastated, and most of all Lurene, who feels like someone close to her had died. When she gets determined to go to his funeral, and her husband Ray doesn't allow it, she sneaks out and runs away. As she gets on a bus, she meets a young African American man Paul Couter (Dennis Haysbert) and his little girl Jonell (Stephanie McFadden). As she starts talking to the girl, she feels that something about that couple is pretty off and doesn't feel right. So, she starts thinking that he had kidnapped a little girl and even calls the police. That makes their journey to the Washington DC, where the burial is, pretty difficult. And after the bus breaks down, they encounter even more problems.
