A fully realized work of art whose influence on science fiction, set design and symbolism can scarcely be put into words.

In my opinion “Metropolis” is one of the greatest movies of all the times. I found myself in a state of shock during the entire film. I found it a perfect creation. The story was great; the filming was pure genius and the effects directly from another dimension. No other move after had such a great impact and effect on me. Today many movies contain super computers generating special effects, they look good, but do not stay even close to this movie and the available effect it provides on the audience. I am happy that such great effects were achieved by not an easy way that is available now, but by hard work of things done by hand and much editing. When you watch this movie it is hard not to get impressed by the job done on this movie. No movie has ever pulled the limits of special effects as much as this one. Then you have the filming. Everything is perfect. The use of body language is tremendous, the light setting perfect, everything well timed and perfectly captured by the camera. And the story!!! Perfect in every detail! Intriguing, exciting and thrilling with lots of religious undertones and tyrant leaders.
