Police officers often have to go undercover in order to discover the criminal or to stop him. Sometimes they have to do both, since the only thing they have is clues. There is where the story about Gracie Hart (Sandra Bullock) stars. She is an FBI agent, but she is nothing like other girls. She's no lady, on the contrary. She is one of the best undercover agents they have, but isn't girly at all. After misjudging one case, which ends up in disaster, she is now facing a disciplinary action, which can cost her her badge. As a new case gets into their office, that concerns attending the Miss United States competition, she is the only one who can pass by their new criminal without being spotted. But, since she is in such a mess, she gets a superior to lead the whole case, and that is none other than Eric Matthews (Benjamin Bratt), who is one of those "by-the-book" officers, who does everything according to rules. Now, two of them must transform Gracie from manly female that she is to a hot bombshell in order to get her into the competition and get their investigation started and so they could discover the killer and his next victim. Along the way, lots of hilarious situations are going to happen that will make you laugh to tears.
