What happens when you mix Rachel McAdams, Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton into one movie? You get a hilarious comedy with an amazing acting crew, that's what. Becky (Rachel McAdams) is a young and very ambitious TV show producer who just got fired. With no other job in mind, she sets out to Jerry (Jeff Goldblum), for who she knows is in the need of a producer for his new show called "Daybreak". Since this show isn't high on ratings, it might be a challenge. But, Becky is more than determined to make it better. Along the way, it turns out that she got more than she bargained for. With a sexist co-host, she first needs to learn how to fire him and bring someone a lot better. And by better, they mean egotistical former news reporter Mike Pomeroy (Harrison Ford). The only problems about him are- to talk him into accepting the job and actually making him do the job right. Somewhere in that chaos, Becky starts falling in love with Adam (Patrick Wilson), who is a young and handsome guy. The stakes are high and there is a lot of pressure on Becky to make everything right as well as keep her sanity and her private life in order. Will she be able to do that and rescue the show from bad watching rates?
