From one of the most famous and one of the best directors ever comes another romantic love story. This one is called Moulin Rouge. The plot revolves mostly around a three persons that are in a triangle, with two persons being in love and the third one being only used. It all starts in 1899 in Paris, as a young writer called Christian (Ewan McGregor) comes into town. He is English and he is writing a story about a bohemian way of life, including drug abuse, prostitutes and nightlife in Paris. And club called Moulin Rouge is the right place to get the inspiration from, because it is the hive of these events. The audience in Moulin Rouge is diverse- from the richest men in the world to the poorest guy from the street. They are all entertained by great looking and pretty provocative can-can dancers as well as the star of the evening- gorgeous Satine (Nicole Kidman). As Christian lays his eyes on her, he instantly falls in love with her, but also does The Duke (Richard Roxburgh). And Satine is to use Duke's attention and get their club sponsored by him. As the situation develops, the Duke and Christian get mixed up and Satine invites Christian into the famous room called "Elephant", with the intention to seduce him. There, she falls in love with him, and realizes that too late, as well as that he is not the Duke. From that point on, the love triangle gets only more and more complicated.
