What is the movie Mr. Deeds about?
Meet Longfellow Deeds (Adam Sandler). He is a pretty everyday guy, who is living in a small town in New England. He is the kind of guy who will help anyone of his townspeople and is pretty naive. So, one day, he gets notified that he had inherited a $40 billion from an uncle he didn't even know he had. Soon, he finds himself in the big city like New York, surrounded by all the opportunities he doesn't know how to use. In that mix comes a gorgeous new reporter,Babe Bennett (Winona Ryder) who is only after a story and is looking for a way to get closer to Deeds so she could write an amazing piece. She presents herself as a small town girl in order to get his attention, which he manages, again, due to his naivete. As she starts spending more and more time with Deeds, she discovers just how sincere he actually is and how simple he is. And she starts falling in love with him. So, after Deeds reveals the way that money changes people without letting it change him, he does the most amazing things for his townspeople. This hilarious 96 minute comedy will make you both laugh about all the funny situations and wonder a bit about what kind of life you are having and how much do you care about people around you.
