Wrote and directed by Jeff Nicolas movie Mud is a remarkable drama. He placed story in Arkansas on muddy bunks of Mississippi river. With no special effects, car chases and similar flashy things Jeff made movie about people and their interaction. There are two boys Ellis (Tye Sheridan) and Neckbone (Jacob Lofland). Both boys are fourteen years old. While exploring random island on the Mississippi river, boys found boat suspended on the trees. Curious Neckbone and Ellis climb the tree and realise that they are not alone. While leaving the island boys had encounter with Mud. They manage to arrange a deal. Kids wanted gun in exchange for their help. Mud is a fugitive who tries to avoid police search. As it often happens in long dramas, there is funny series of events that will lead to an interesting life story. Kids will have interaction with Mud’s big love. Ellis and Neckbone have their own family problems to deal with. Every little thing that happens on the screen brings us closer to the characters. This drama is more than two hours long, but doesn’t prevent it from keeping attention of the audience. With complicated relations between people “Mud ” presents all aspects of life. Just when we start feeling for Mud, Ellis and Neckbone things become tense and serious shooting happens. Audience is left to hope and cheer for loved characters as they fight to survive and escape. At the end hope wins.
