If you feel like watching a romantic comedy with lots of hilarious scenes, My Best Friend's Wedding is one of the best movies. It may be old and released back in 1997, but it works the magic when it comes to laughing like crazy. With the plot written by Ronald Bass and the whole thing directed by P.J. Hogan, this movie follows lives of two childhood friends after they grow up. Michael (Dermot Mulroney) and Julianne (Julia Roberts) have known each other since they were kids and they have been friends forever. They had a short affair while they were both in college, but that ended up with them still staying friends and close. Still, one promise remains to be fulfilled: they have promised each other to marry each other, if they don't find a partner until they are 28. Years have gone by and shortly after her 28th birthday, Julianne gets a call from her friend, who is delivering happy news- he is getting married! His fiancé is Kimmy Wallace (Cameron Diaz), pretty and silly blonde girl, whose family is as equally rich as his is. Suddenly, Julianne realizes that she is loosing him and finds out just how much she wants to be with him and is in love with him. So, she pretends to be still his best friend, but underneath it all, she does everything she can in order to break their engagement apart. It turns out that it's not as easy as she thought it would be.
