Based on the French movie as an inspiration, made by Patrick Braoudé , here comes an American adaptation called Nine Months. The screenplay was done by Chris Columbus. At the very beginning of the movie the audience gets to meet meet Samuel Faulkner (Hugh Grant). His life is perfect. He has it all- nice car, great job, plenty of cash and a hot girl- Rebecca Taylor (Julianne Moore). Couple of weeks after spending a night with her, Samuel gets to discover that she is pregnant and he is the father. As he was thinking that she is using birth control pills, he didn't pay much attention to controlling himself during their relations. Now, he is totally panicked and doesn't know what to do. As he has no interest in having a baby nor being a father, Samuel starts thinking that she got pregnant on purpose and he has to deal with that. As a future dad, his anxiety is growing each day more and more and Samuel gets himself into various funny and hilarious situations. On the other hand, Rebecca does want the baby and is more than excited about everything that is to come. But, if she is going to stay with Samuel, he is going to need to change and be more responsible. Will he?
