What is the movie No Country for Old Men about?
Directed by the Coen brothers and adapted from a novel of the same name written by Cormac McCarthy, “No Country for Old Men” is often considered the Coen brothers’ finest work. It won them thje Academy awards for best picture, best director and best adapted screenplay. Llewelyn Moss (Josh Brolin) is hunting in a West Texas desert when he comes upon the scene of a drug deal gone bad. There are dead bodies everywhere, and a sole survivor is begging him for water in Spanish, but Moss takes a bag containing two million dollars and goes back to his trailer. Later he returns with water for the wounded man, but he flees from mysterious men waiting for him in a truck. He goes back home, sends his wife to her mother’s and he flees to the nest county. On his tail is Anton Chigurh (Javier Bardem), a psychotic hitman, an emotionless killing machine who likes to play mind games with his victims. Chigurh’s pursuit of Moss leaves a trail of dead bodies in its wake. Ultimately, Moss is dead, as is his wife, Chigurh is badly injured in a car accident, and only retired sheriff Ed Tom Bell remains to ponder the meaning of it all.

During all this movie i felt a very strong and tensed atmosphere. Each minute of it was interesting, though there are some calm motives of the West. By it is hard for me to call this subject a calm one, as there are a lot of scenes with bloody fights in it, and there are a lot of emotional worries. Here i saw brutal cowboys and wild Mexicans, and also i saw a psycho killer. The performing crew played very well, due to their charm they provided this movie with the spirit of mystery and some wild captivity.I am very happy due to the fact i was able to find and watch this movie as i received a lot of pleasure from watching it! And i am very upset with the fact that some people are writing negative reviews about it, i am wondering did any one of those people ever watched it?! And if so did they think about it for a second, or watched it automatically?! Ugh, sometimes people can be very cruel and not right!

Hi everyone, today i saw this movie. I can say that it captures since the beginning and keeps tensed till the end. The chase of the main hero during all the movie didn’t allow me enough time to relax and feel bored even for a second! The only thing i didn’t really like was the end of the movie, as it was unexpected for me, and felt like it was not over yet, that is why i got disappointed a bit. But by the end of the day my impressions have settled down a bit, and i can surely say that it is a interesting movie of a high quality with good actors and very individual subject. As a result i can say that it surely deserves you to watch it, though i cannot say that it has become one of my favorite movies. I cannot understand why there are so many people thrilled about it, maybe it is because i am not a fan of thrillers. And also i would like to add that if you do not like cruel movies with elements of violence than it is better not to watch this movie, even though it has a variety of prestigious cinema awards.

I found this movie by a very lucky accident and was not having the courage in order to watch it for a very long time, no i understand that all of my fears were not justified, that is why i suggest people who are admirers of thriller movies not to waste their time and watch it as soon as possible as it is more than worthy to do that. People who do not like this kind of genre can also watch it in order to get some new very important information for thinking. Also this movie is a must to see for people who admire the art created by Joel Coen, and for people who have no clue about him in order to get to know the works of this talented person, which will certainly become a very pleasant discovery.
The only category of people to whom i wouldn’t suggest this movie, are the people who do not like cruel movie with scenes of violence, only those people should not watch it, but still movie that won so many awards should definitely be a good one.

"No Country for Old Men" is as much a riddle as any other Coen movie, something that appears very sleight from a plot perspective but nonetheless is filled to the brim with some sort of hidden meaning. If you (understandably) don't like this on-the-edge-of-pretention style, you can still find enough to enjoy due to powerful performances and some insane tension/violence.
