Out of the Furnace is a crime thriller starring Christian Bale, Casey Affleck and Zoe Saldana. It is a story about a man named Russel and his younger brother Rodney who live in the economically-depressed Rust Belt. The brothers have always dreamed of escaping their horrible lives in Rust Belt and finding a better life somewhere else. Twist of fate lands Russel in prison and his brother gets involved with one of the most violent crime rings in the Northeast. He makes a mistake which will cost him everything. Russel gets released out of the prison and he has to make an important choice. He has to choose between his own freedom or risk everything to seek justice for his younger brother who mysteriously disappears. Christian Bale is an amazing actor, every role he plays he plays with passion and determination to do his best, and his performance in Out of the furnace is among his best ones by far. The rest of the cast deserves praise as well, all of them make this movie worth your time. This movie talks about some important subjects in today's world without ever becoming preachy. If you are a fan of thrillers or Christian Bale, this movie will definitely be worth watching. Let the movie take you on a ride and you are going to have a blast!
