Parkland is a thriller with elements of a drama based on a book by Vincent Bugliosi. The movie was directed by Peter Landesman and stars Zac Efron, Tom Welling and Billy Bob Thornton. The movie is set in Dallas during the assassination of president Kennedy. It tells a tale of how the assassination affected the people in the hospital where Kennedy was brought. A man named Abraham Zabruder manages to film the moment of Kennedy being shot and gets detained by the Secret service because they want to see the film. When one secret agent sees it he can't help himself in feeling responsible for it. Lee Harvey Oswald gets brought in as a person of interest. One agent received a threatening letter from Oswald but chose not to act on it. His superiors get a wind of the situation and tell him that if he had chosen to act on the letter, the president might still be alive. Parkland is a very powerful movie, it deals with events which happened not so far ago and everyone is familiar with those events. Everyone who is interested in how the assassination of President Kennedy influenced some people should definitely give this movie a go.
