The story in Peace,Love & Misunderstanding revolves around Diane (Catherine Keener). She is a high class uptight lawyer with an obsessive-compulsive disorder. She lives in New York with her husband, Mark. But, at the film's opening night, he tells her that he wants a divorce. In order to escape that whole chaos, Diane decides to take her two teenage kids, Jake (Nat Wolff), who is all about camera and geeky stuff and daughter Zoe (Elizabeth Olsen) and take them to her mother Grace (Jane Fonda), who is, by the way, a hippie. With a mind set to staying for only short period of time, Diane slowly starts seeing why her mother is the way she is and how good that is for her as well. Along the way, Diane finds herself attracted to a guy she met recently, Jude (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and her daughter Zoe gets to be closer with her new friend Cole (Chace Crawford) and Jake finds a girl as well. The whole story seems to be linear, but as you get to see how it all happens, it is only then clear why this piece is such a successful and hilarious comedy drama and why it won the hearts of the viewers from across the globe. So, if you are in the mood for a good laugh and hysterical moments with women, this is the movie to watch.
