Intensive, dynamic, unpredictable and heavy Perfect Sense gives Sci-Fi idea in old school way. This movie proves that directors don’t need aliens and all sorts of mysterious creatures. Sci- Fi part of the movie is an odd epidemic that appears all over the globe. It is caused by the virus and, for change, this virus doesn’t change regular people into zombies. This strange epidemic causes people to lose one of their senses. This lost is often followed by a sudden raging and destructive behaviour. David Mackenzie took phenomenal Ewan McGregor and Eva Green for leading roles. This movie is truly European movie with filming locations scattered over UK, Sweden, Denmark and Ireland. With French actress and actor from Scotland David created perfect couple for a heavy story. Eva Green plays a scientist Susan, who has no social life and waits to meet her prince. On the other side we have Ewan McGregor who plays a chef named Michael, who is charming and easily engaging. During this movie Ewan and Eva did outstanding job performing their characters. Emotional intensity that actors displayed is rarely seen. It is question how would people react in case of losing one sense, hearing, smell, taste. With added aggression and destructive behaviour it would be hard to maintain any normal relation with loved ones. Perfect Sense opens many some serious questions and gives material for thinking. It is great European Sci-Fi drama about love and tragedy.
