Every reporter is looking for a fresh story to cover and there is not one case when they go undercover in order to get their stories. Rowena Price (Halle Berry) is one of them. When her story about the Senator, who is gay in private life and sells the story about high family values in his public life, she quits. The ext thing she knows is that she meets mother of her childhood friend, who is suddenly missing. And the only thing the mother knows is that her daughter used to date Harrison Hill (Bruce Willis), one of the executives in the most famous and powerful companies ever. That is when he becomes her main suspect. And her next goal is to get in undercover and investigate the whole thing by herself. Since he is known to have affairs with his female workers, soon after getting in, Rowena manages to get his attention fully, as he catches her in his office. Then she makes a false confession that she has a crush on him, but only not to get caught as she was stealing valuable information from him. Two of them head off on a date and start a brief affair. As the story goes on, and you think you have it all figured out, a new information comes into the focus. She also gets help from her colleague and friend Miles Haley (Giovanni Ribisi). It turns out in the end, that Rowena isn't such a Fairy Godmother as she seems to be and that there is a reason for everything she does.
